This is a translation to help you read it. Only the German version is legally binding. Read the German version

The key points

  • These terms apply when you look for a home on Finding Home.
  • Finding Home is free for you.
  • The listings come from realtors. You make a rental or purchase contract directly with the realtor or owner.
  • Please write to realtors in a friendly and honest way.
  • You can delete your account at any time.

Who do these terms apply to?

These terms apply to everyone who looks for a home on Finding Home. We call you a "home seeker" here. They form the contract between you and us. Who "we" are is stated in the legal notice.

Realtors have their own terms: the terms for realtors.

What does Finding Home offer?

  • You enter places that matter to you. We show where you can reach all of them quickly.
  • We show realtors' listings in these areas.
  • You can write to realtors through Finding Home.
  • With an account, you can save searches and mark favorites.
  • You can get emails about new matching listings.

Using Finding Home is free for you. We try to keep Finding Home available at all times. But we can't promise that. We may change or improve features.

Who is responsible for the listings?

The realtors write the listings. The realtors are responsible for their listings. We don't check every listing. We can't guarantee that a listing is correct.

We don't arrange flats or houses. You make a rental or purchase contract with the realtor or the owner. We are not part of that contract.

The travel times on the map are estimates. In real life, they can be longer or shorter.

What applies to your account?

  • You must be an adult, so at least 18 years old.
  • Your details must be correct.
  • An account belongs to one person. Don't share your password.
  • If someone else uses your account, please tell us right away.

Which rules apply to messages?

When you write to realtors, please follow these rules:

  • Write in a friendly and factual way.
  • Only write about the listing in question.
  • Don't send ads or mass messages.
  • Don't send anything that breaks the law.

If you break these rules, we may delete messages. We may then also block your account. We tell you beforehand, except for serious violations.

Can you withdraw from the contract?

You can withdraw your sign-up within 14 days. Withdrawing means: you cancel the contract. You don't have to give a reason. (§ 312g Abs. 1, § 355 BGB) The 14 days start on the day you create your account.

To do so, send us an email at [OPERATOR_EMAIL fehlt]. You can also simply delete your account. This doesn't cost you anything.

What are we liable for?

Being liable means: answering for damage and paying for it. We are fully liable if we cause damage on purpose or through gross negligence. Gross negligence means: we were very careless. We are also fully liable if someone is injured or dies.

If we are only slightly careless, we are liable in one case only. We then broke a duty without which the contract makes no sense. We are then only liable for damage that could be foreseen. (§ 309 Nr. 7 BGB)

Laws under which we are always liable still apply. One example is the Product Liability Act.

How does the contract end?

You can delete your account in the settings at any time. The contract then ends right away.

We can end the contract with two weeks' notice. We tell you by email. For serious violations of these terms, we may end it right away.

What happens if we change these terms?

If we change these terms, they get a new version. We email you the new terms beforehand. If you don't agree, you can delete your account.

Which law applies?

German law applies. If you live in another EU country, you keep the rights that the law there gives you. (Art. 6 Abs. 2 Rom-I-VO)
